School History

Opened in July 1994, Hambledon has steadily grown from five classes with a total of 136 students to its present twenty three classes with a total of 583 students. The school staff has grown from nine to its present forty.

Hambledon has participated in Annual Dance and Music Festivals from its first year with enthusiasm and success. Students have represented the school for sporting events, at district through to state level and many students have participated in gifted and talented programs, both at Hambledon and other schools. Each year a growing number of students participate in the State English and Mathematics Competitions with pleasing results.

Prior to starting school Kindergarten students are involved in pre-visits to help make their transition from home to school a happy and positive experience.

We are very fortunate to have such a beautiful environment in which to learn and work together. Other important features include friendly students, a highly dedicated and professional staff, supportive parents and an enthusiastic and highly successful P & C.
